Running With Lollipops

 What is the first thing you say to your kids after you give them a lollipop?? Well, a couple of weeks ago at the park, I had given my kids lollipops when the words "don't run with your lollipops!" naturally flew out of my mouth. I shared with my friend who I was sitting next to that "running with lollipops" should be the name of my new book. I said it jokingly, but the more I thought about it, I realized how fitting it actually is. You see, following Jesus is a lot like running with lollipops. It's fun. It's dangerous. It's sweet. And it goes against everything the world is saying is right. A breaking of the world"s "rules" if you will. Our family has many stories of how we have been challenged, blessed, disobedient, obedient, broken, and restored. Jesus is truly our only hope...anyone's only hope. And that is what this blog is for. To tell stories of how our family is being called to live differently.
